The Ideal Horizons – 42022 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a four pin lamp bulb. The lamp has a length of 17.16 inches and an average lifespan of 10,000 hours. The 25 watts UV bulb uses UV-C light to inactivate and kill bacteria, molds, virus and other pathogens present in water. The germicidal replacement bulb has a four pin base that is used for water purification.

This wavelength region is considered as maximum germicidal effectiveness and is highly fatal to microorganisms such as bacteria, virus, protozoa and other pathogens. The genetic material of the microorganism is deactivated when germicidal UV light passes through them and makes them incapable of multiplying.
